IRCC released the new plan for immigration plan and targets for 2023-2025 on November 1, 2022. You can read the full report on the link below, but some highlights include;
Gradual increase in immigrants (PRs) reaching 500,000 by 2025
Increase in almost all PR pathways - including EE (Express Entry) and PNP (Provincial Nominee Program) - but with a slight decrease in refugee and humanitarian pathways.
Promises of improved processign times and methods
Of course we welcome the new report and raised targets, this is good news for future applicants and temporary residents current residing in Canada (students, workers etc.). However, with IRCC already experiencing backlogs and delays, and promises of faster processing times comes a greater risk of errors and mistakes - there is never a better time to seek professional guidance on your Canadian immigration journey/application.
